It's always a blessing to be visited by some of the artists whose works enhance our home, and we're glad you were around for this weekend's visit by Eve Aschheim along with her daughter and sister. You once drew Eve's imagery--as shown in the above four paintings hanging by the stairs--in one of your earlier sketchbooks, do you remember? Anyway, while Eve was here, she also brought her newest book: EPISODES WITH WAYNE THIEBAUD which she authored with Chris Daubert (Black Square Editions, 2014):
EPISODES ... is very interesting. It's a collection of four interviews with Wayne Thiebaud that Eve and Chris conducted in 2009-2011. I hope you will read it someday as there's much to learn from it.
While noting Eve's book, I might as well note that our library also includes her art monograph EVE ASCHHEIM PAINTINGS AND DRAWINGS (Weidle Verlag, 1999) as well as EVE ASCHHEIM: RECENT WORK which accompanied her 2003 exhibition at the Fine Arts Centre, University of Massachusetts-Amherst (Black Square Editions, New York, 2005).
